OK. Once again the apologies for stepping away from the keyboard. Except this time I really was all over the keyboard stretching coding muscles that haven’t been used in a long time (and it shows)!
First, I had the Windows XP system crash that required a dirt re-install. Naturally that took about 3/4 of a day. Interestingly Home Server backup is still not working properly… but I have my messages in to the WHS support team.
Next, I decided that to continue the dirty-fingernail work of learning how these technologies and practices really work, I needed to move my blog from Typepad to a hosted site, and to embrace the open source platform, Wordpress.
There is still a TON to learn and implement, but at least the site is back up, ugly home page and all. Learning CSS and HTML enough to jury-rig Wordpress has been a bit of a chore, but we’ll get there.
In any case — thanks to all, especially those who are awaiting my follow-up to discuss community and conversation experiences. I will get to you.
But tomorrow it’s off to New York for some business development meetings. Back later in the week when I hope to start the outreach.
